Temperature meters

At Buch & Holm, you will find all types of thermometers, including glass thermometers, digital ones with sensors, and infrared thermometers. We collaborate with Ebro, Testo, and others, offering everything from inexpensive pocket thermometers to more advanced models.

There are two main measurement principles:
Contact measurement: the sensor touches the object and achieves thermal equilibrium. Typically used for liquids, solids, body measurements, and industrial processes. Contactless measurement: the sensor detects infrared radiation from the object. Used for moving objects, very hot surfaces, or situations where contact is impractical.

Common sensor types
  • Thermometers (liquid or digital): Laboratories, industry, etc. Digital thermometers that are fast and precise.
  • Thermocouples: Very robust and can measure from -200 °C to over 1,000 °C. Widely used in industry and furnaces.
  • Resistance thermometers (RTD, e.g., Pt100): Very precise sensors, often used in laboratories and process control.
  • Infrared thermometers: Measure without contact. Fast and convenient, but sensitive to the surface characteristics.
  • Thermistors: Inexpensive and sensitive sensors, often used in electronics and HVAC systems.
