Service concept


Adding value has always been a fundamental part of Buch & Holm's service concept, and it is a part of our DNA. It started with a workshop for glassblowing followed by a technical department offering service of the instruments. Today our service department enables us to add value to the products that we offer. Requests and regulations from our customers are always increasing and we monitor the development on a continuous basis in order to keep up-to-date.


In order to ensure the best possible results, we recommend regular maintenance and service of your equipment. When the equipment is kept operational, chances are that it will have fewer breakdowns. At worst, breakdowns may lead to operating loss. Maintenance will also prolong the life of the equipment and make the investment more cost-effective. Our service engineers are kept up-to-date, with courses,  by the manufacturers.


Proper service and maintenance are a precondition for a flawless operation, which is our ultimate aim. Our service concept is put together in a way that provides value for the customer. The result is a complete service package, which makes it easier for our customers. During service we always use certified, traceable equipment so that all measurements are traceable. Our technicians are being trained regularly by the manufacturers. We have special tools and access to original spare parts. Certificates of training may be obtained upon request. Through time we have gained considerable experience and we provide cooling service at a very high level.


IQ/OQ/PQ DOCUMENTATION

Validation, qualification, mapping, IQ/OQ/PQ, FAT and SAT with traceable references.


Many of our customers have an increasing requirement for documentation and we have great experience with validation and qualification. We can be of assistance with the preparation of IQ/OQ/PQ documentation etc. with traceable references.​ 

On most of our equipment we offer ready-made IO-/OQ-/PQ protocols. Most equipment can be delivered with FAT and SAT tests from the manufacturer. Adding to this we offer authorised service and annual agreements carried out by our trained technicians so that you will always be sure to have the required documentation.​ We have experience with documentation and the preparation of IQ/OQ/PQ and mapping etc. of refrigerators, freezers, climate chambers, centrifuges, autoclaves, shaking incubators, bioreactors, heating cabinets, dataloggers, central monitoring systems, viscosimeters and more.​

HELIUM LEAK DETECTION

If you have a leaking cooling or piping system, we might be able to help you find the hole/leak?


Contract work or rental basis

- We offer Helium leak detection as wage work, where there will be an amount for start-up and then we invoice on hourly rate plus consumption of helium and driving.

- It is also possible to rent a helium leak finder for larger tasks, where we take care of delivery, installation, training, consumption of helium and subsequent repatriation.


As a distributor of vacuum equipment from Agilent, we use their helium leak dector for the tasks. The equipment is an oil-free helium leak finder from Agilent model PD03 equipped with scrolland turbo pump with ultimate pressure 5x10-12 and can leak search on both pressurized items and under vacuum.


The shelters can be clarified as follows:

10-5 mbar l/s corresponds to a hole through 2 mm wall thickness of approx. Ø 0.006 mm, and 10-4 mbar l/s corresponds to that it will take approx. 2 min to form an air bubble in a pressure test under water.


Areas of application of Helium leak detection:

Accelerators, mass spectrometers, NMR, refrigeration systems, electron microscopes, vaporizers/coaters, freeze dryers, refrigeration systems, impregnation stands, vacuum fittings, piping installations, gas pipe systems, tanks and pressure vessels sintering furnaces? hardening furnaces, vacuum filling plants, etc.

COOLING SERVICE


Service concept

At Buch & Holm we have our own authorised cooling department and we offer installation, repair and service of cooling installations for laboratories – irrespective of the size of the filling. We offer authorised cooling services of any make within low temperature freezers, refrigerated baths, climate chambers, freeze dryers etc. with temperatures down to -150°C.

During service we always use certified, traceable equipment so that all measurements are traceable. Our technicians are being trained regularly by the manufacturers. We have special tools and access to original spare parts. Certificates of training may be obtained upon request.Through time we have gained considerable experience and we provide cooling service at a very high level.


Installation and qualification

We carry out installation and preparation of IQ, OQ and PQ. Further, we offer traceable 10-point temperature mapping and calibrations with certified equipment.


Maintenance required by law

If your cooling installation has a filling of more than 1 kg, a maintenance checking carried out by a specialized technician is obligatory at least once a year. In case the filling is of more than 2.5 kg, the checking must be carried out by a certified technician from an ISO 9001 certified cooling company.


Quality

Buch & Holm is ISO certified and we continually work to improve the quality of and our impact on both the environment and the working environment. We have: ISO 9001:2015. This certification covers customer service, sales, support and service of equipment for laboratories and the industry together with expert services for installation, repair and servicing of cooling installations with more than 2.5 kg coolant, irrespective of the kind of coolant. ISO 14001:2015 and 45001:2018 cover our impact on the external environment and work environment. In our consultancy these matters are always considered so that we can find the proper solution for both us and our customers.


Safety

We also offer a 24-hour insurance agreement where we secure your samples ultimately. In case of breakdown we will deliver a cooled freezer within 8 hours. We deliver all over Denmark. The concept is transparent and there will be no unexpected extra costs.

SERVICE AGREEMENT - MAINTENANCE


Why is it important to maintain equipment?

To ensure the best possible results, we recommend ongoing maintenance and service. Equipment kept in operational condition usually has fewer breakdowns, which in the worst case can lead to operational losses. Maintenance also extends the life of the equipment and makes the investment more profitable.


Service agreement with minium one annual visit

The service agreement covers the entire fermentor / bioreactor. At the annual visit, our service technicians review the equipment from A-Z and ensure that temperature, pH, pO2 and other functions, such as pumps etc. complie with the specifications.

Our technicians are continuously trained by the manufacturer Infors; they have special tools, certified measuring equipment and access to original spare parts. Traceable certified measuring equipment is used to check parameters.
