Polytetrafluorethylene (PTFE): Very hydrophobic membrane, ideal for filtration of non-polar liquids and gases. It is very resistant to various solvents as well as acids and bases. Flushing with alcohol, followed by water, makes the originally hydrophobic membrane more hydrophilic.
