Mixed cellullose ester (MV/MCE): Hydrophilic membrane, which can be used for for aqueous and polar solutions. The mixture of cellulose acetate and cellulose nitrate is biologically inert and has higher protein binding than CA membranes, and it is therefore useful for removal of trace protein from your sample.
