The MultiSUB series of horizontal gel units offers the most versatile solution for DNA and RNA agarose gel electrophoresis currently available. The tanks are injection molded and therefore leak-proof. They are equipped with high-quality platinum electrodes. Each unit comes with a variety of gel trays and color-coded combs, providing high flexibility for the user. The casting dams supplied with the units offer a simple and leak-proof solution for gel casting.

The MultiSUB Midi-96 Gel System is ideal for high-throughput electrophoresis of PCR products or samples containing a small number of DNA bands. Its gel dimensions and 96-well comb block format correspond to the standard microplate configuration, with additional lanes for markers. Two different types of combs are available: one with 8 wells and an extra lane for DNA markers, and one with 8 wells and 2 extra lanes for markers. The staggered layout of the wells allows for a maximum run length of 1.8 cm per well, resulting in improved separation. The MultiSUB Midi-96 can accommodate samples from a 96-well plate; samples can be loaded directly using 8-channel pipettes. As with all MultiSUB units, leak-proof casting is simplified using the included casting dams, while their ultra-compact size minimizes buffer consumption and bench space requirements. MultiSUB Midi-96ST (Stretch) Systems are also available for users requiring an extended run length per well of up to 3.6 cm.
